You're away from home, but your cat still expects its canned wet food at 3 p.m.
Automatic dry-food feeders are everywhere. But feeding canned wet food usually means someone needs to be home to open the can and serve it.
What if your cat could get a freshly opened can at its regular mealtime, even when you're not there?
That's what the KittyBOT Automatic Can-Opening Wet Food Feeder is designed to do.
Imagine Luna is leaving for a five-day trip. She's arranged for someone to check on her cat and handle its other daily needs, but she wants its regular 3 p.m. canned wet-food meal to stay on schedule.
With KittyBOT, getting ready takes just a few steps.
Place up to eight unopened, compatible 3 oz (85 g) cans into KittyBOT's storage compartment.
No opening cans ahead of time. No scooping wet food into individual trays. Each can stays factory-sealed until its scheduled mealtime.
KittyBOT uses one can per feeding, so eight cans can provide up to eight scheduled meals.
Open the KittyBOT companion app and select Meal Schedule.
For Luna's routine, the settings are simple:
3:00 PM — Enabled: Serve one can every day.
8:00 AM — Disabled: Skip this scheduled feeding.
Schedule Master Switch — ON: Activate the enabled feeding plans.
You can customize the times to fit your cat's routine and create up to eight feeding schedule entries.
Once the schedule is saved and synchronized with KittyBOT, Luna is ready to leave.
The Meal Window determines how long the opened can remains available before KittyBOT attempts to collect it.
KittyBOT's current design allows settings from 30 minutes to 24 hours, with an eight-hour default.
However, the default is not a food-safety recommendation. KittyBOT doesn't refrigerate opened wet food. Choose an appropriate window based on the food manufacturer's handling instructions and your veterinarian's advice. The FDA recommends promptly refrigerating or discarding unused canned pet food.

Luna is away, but her cat's feeding schedule hasn't changed.
At 3 p.m., KittyBOT automatically selects a sealed can, opens it inside the machine, removes the lid, and presents the food at the feeding station.
Her cat eats directly from the original can. A protective cover helps shield the exposed metal rim.
There's no separate bowl to fill, and Luna doesn't need to be home to open the food.
When the feeding window ends, KittyBOT checks whether the cat is still nearby. If the feeding area is occupied, the machine waits until it's clear before collecting the used can and lid.
The next day at 3 p.m., KittyBOT serves another can.
The routine repeats throughout Luna's five-day trip.
While she's away, Luna can open the KittyBOT app to check:
Meal Status: Whether a scheduled feeding succeeded or failed.
Cans Left: How many cans remain in the feeder.
Feeding History: A record of previous meal events.
Device Status: Whether KittyBOT is ready, feeding, or needs attention.
KittyBOT is also designed to send notifications when the can supply runs low or a feeding problem occurs.
After five successful daily feedings, Luna's original eight-can supply would have three cans remaining.
The app can tell her that the meal was served, although it cannot confirm how much food her cat actually ate.
A temporary Wi-Fi outage shouldn't automatically disrupt a saved feeding routine.
KittyBOT is designed to store synchronized schedules locally and continue following them without an internet connection, provided it has power and is operating normally.
For power outages, KittyBOT supports a compatible external 5V USB Type-C power bank as a backup power source.
Connect a sufficiently charged power bank before leaving. KittyBOT is designed to switch to backup power if the primary supply is interrupted.
The app can also report whether the feeder is using its power adapter or backup power when device information is available.
KittyBOT has no built-in battery, and backup operating time depends on the connected power bank. It's worth testing the complete setup before relying on it while away.
When Luna gets home, she can remove KittyBOT's collection compartment, dispose of the used cans and lids, and clean the compartment as needed.
No separate wet-food bowl is required for each scheduled meal.
KittyBOT also offers an optional 2L manual dry-food hopper for households that want supplementary dry-food storage. It's sold separately and doesn't automatically dispense kibble.
Automatic feeding makes scheduled meals easier, but it doesn't replace regular human care. Your cat still needs fresh water, appropriate daily nutrition, a clean litter box, and someone to check on it when you're traveling.
Work runs late. Traffic happens. Travel plans change.
KittyBOT is designed to take the daily job of opening and serving canned wet food off your hands, so your cat can keep its familiar feeding routine.
Load the cans. Set the time. KittyBOT handles the meal.
